Little symbol I drew based on Wow's class icons for our wedding. Purple is druid for me, and blue is rogue for him 

Not enough hours in a day :/

Gah, this whole employed thing sure puts a stopper in personal art time... As does wedding planning and 10k run training D: So many unfinished projects gathering digital dust in my files... sigh. I did get a request to colour one of those dragons from a while back, so that's something!

Azure is a pretty colour... Hopefully updates do not span such large gaps of time from now on :/

Trying to get this idea I had a while back going again. To draw all the mounts from World of Warcraft. This was a less daunting idea back when there were under 200 mounts... But still, I wanted to try it again. Netherdrakes were always my favourite back then, so I figured I'd start there.

Avengers project, Iron Man Final

Travel delays resulted in a finished version... Yay? Bright side of an expired passport = productive. Ish.

All I've managed to finish on the Iron Man piece before heading out of town for a bit. Hopefully it'll get finished soon. The sneeze theory did not work sadly - the Iron Man suit has proven to be... complex. And I thought Thor was a rough one to figure out >.> Ah well, it isn't fun if it's easy

Next on the list was Thor, at the pleading of a friend of mine. Progress was opposite for the last one; Hulk was a fast sketch/layout phase with most time spent on shading. This one was a long drawing phase, but relatively fast to shade. Maybe the next one I'll sneeze and the thing will magically be done...

Final version. About 20 hours total, mostly on Hulk and not Mark Ruffalo's face... Done with black/white charcoal, black pencil crayon, and assorted graphite pencils on 9x12 gray construction paper.

Saw The Avengers; I thought it was a fantastic movie. Fantastic movies always make me want to draw afterwards, and for the first time in a while, I have the time to work on art when I'm inspired :) So, progress shot of the first of (hopefully) a bunch of these. Current time spent is at... uh... The Incredible Hulk (2008) x 4 viewings, and 7 episodes of ST: Voyager. I've missed gray paper and my pencils...

Current model I've been working on. Needs rigging still, but surgery has resulted in a drastically reduced work schedule this week...

Portrait Work

Recently completed job, inspired by the Harry Potter portraits I'd done prior (Hermione, Snape). Request was to portray the subject in "Hogwarts attire" (not her clothing from the photograph) and have her "patronus" as a polar bear cub. Wish I had a scanner that could fit 11x14 pages...

Tried a new Nupastel combo today: gray midtone on the newsprint with black and white shadows/highlights - seemed to work well enough. I still miss the control of a pencil whenever I use conte or pastels, though...

Captain Hooks...

Our latest life drawing assignment is to draw Captain Hook from Disney's Peter Pan. Not just draw him, LEARN him so we can draw a life model as him without reference... Via a minimum of 10 head shots and 8 body shots. Whee... I don't mind the character, he's pretty fun actually; the movie though? I'd never seen it in full until today... Yikes. Racist, sexist, teenage-boy-jerkness..A good movie to watch frame by frame with no sound :/
